Live conditions
Current temperature, “feels like”, cloud cover, humidity, pressure, UV and wind as Force plus compass direction, in one glance.
UK weather, made clear
LucidWeather is an iPhone and iPad app for live conditions, hourly and seven-day forecasts, air quality and Beaufort wind — written in British English for people who actually live with British weather.
The app’s job is simple: show you what the sky is doing now, what it will do over the next 24 hours, and whether the air is fit to be outdoors — without burying that in ads, accounts or extra chrome.
You follow the cities that matter to you (London, Manchester and other UK places ship as starting points), switch between them, and read live temperature, humidity, pressure, UV, wind on the Beaufort scale, air quality and rain in the hours ahead. Hourly charts cover temperature, rain and wind. A seven-day strip sits on the home canvas on iPad and in the daily view on iPhone. In-app weather warnings flag unsettled conditions when they are in the forecast.
LucidWeather is aimed at everyday planning — commuting, a weekend outside, checking whether a city you follow is worth the trip. It is not a professional meteorological workstation and it is not an emergency alert service.
Current temperature, “feels like”, cloud cover, humidity, pressure, UV and wind as Force plus compass direction, in one glance.
The next 24 hours as a chart and a list. Switch between temperature, rain and wind without leaving the view.
AQI with the main pollutant called out, so you can judge whether a walk is a good idea before you leave.
Save the places you care about, search by name, and keep Celsius or Fahrenheit as you prefer. Settings stay on the device.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your download and use of the LucidWeather mobile application for iPhone and iPad, including updates (the “App”). By downloading, installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App and delete it from your device.
The App is provided by the developer of LucidWeather (“we”, “us”). LucidWeather is published under the Apple App Store bundle identifier com.florist.LucidWeather.
The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use. If you use the App on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
You must be old enough to use the App Store under Apple’s rules in your country. The App is not directed at children under 13.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, solely as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms of Use and these Terms. You do not buy the App; you licence it.
You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer, rent, sublicense or redistribute the App, except where applicable law says you may. You must not use the App to build a competing weather service from our interface or data presentations.
LucidWeather shows current conditions, hourly forecasts, a seven-day outlook, air quality indicators and in-app weather warnings for places you select. Forecasts, air-quality readings and place search are supplied by Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) over the internet. The App stores your followed cities, temperature unit and similar preferences on your device.
You need a network connection for live data. If the device is offline, the App may be unable to refresh conditions.
Weather, air quality and warnings in the App are estimates from third-party models. They can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Do not rely on LucidWeather for emergency decisions, aviation, marine navigation, flood defence, medical advice or any situation where a forecast error could cause harm. For official UK warnings use the Met Office and local emergency services.
Open-Meteo is not a UK National Weather Service. In-app warnings are derived from forecast values in the App; they are not Met Office Amber, Yellow or Red warnings unless we clearly say otherwise in a future update.
You agree to:
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that the licence is between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. In the event of a failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
The App, its name, icon, layout and original text are owned by us or our licensors. Open-Meteo data remains subject to Open-Meteo’s own terms and attribution. You do not acquire any ownership by using the App.
The App requests weather, air quality and geocoding from Open-Meteo’s public APIs. Those services have their own terms and availability. We do not control Open-Meteo and are not liable for outages, changes or inaccuracies in their data. Your use of those APIs through the App is also subject to Open-Meteo’s licence and documentation as published by them from time to time.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features, including forecast sources, city catalogues and warning logic. We may issue updates through the App Store. We do not promise that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or available in every region.
We may update these Terms. The “Effective” date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms. If you do not, stop using the App and delete it.
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. On termination the licence ends and you must delete the App. Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits and governing law) remain in force.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that English law does not allow to be limited.
Subject to the previous paragraph, we are not liable for loss of profits, business, data or any indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on forecasts or air-quality readings in the App. Our total liability arising out of the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim (or £0 if the App was free).
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your home courts. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
For questions about these Terms, use the About information inside LucidWeather (Settings) or the support contact listed on the App’s Apple App Store product page.

Effective 16 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information LucidWeather uses, why, and how it is protected. It applies to the iPhone and iPad App. We designed the App so that you do not create an account and we do not run a LucidWeather user database in the cloud.
If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the App.
The developer of LucidWeather is the controller for personal data processed in providing the App, except where a third party (notably Open-Meteo) processes data they receive from API requests as their own controller or processor under their terms.
Questions: use the About information in the App or the support contact on the App Store product page.
LucidWeather does not ask you for your name, email address or payment card. Purchases, if any, are handled by Apple.
Depending on how you use the App, the following may be processed:
The current version of the App does not include a third-party advertising SDK, crash-reporting SDK or analytics SDK of our own. Apple may collect App Store installation and diagnostic data under Apple’s policies when you use iOS or iPadOS.
The App can show a “Current location” place. In the present version that label marks a saved place in your city list (for example a default UK city). If a later update uses Apple’s location services to detect where the device is, iOS will ask for permission first, and only the coordinates needed to fetch that place’s weather would be used as described above.
If UK GDPR / EU GDPR applies, our lawful bases are: performance of a contract (providing the App you chose to install) and, where required for optional device permissions, consent (for example notification permission granted in iOS). We do not sell personal data and we do not use App data to profile you for advertising.
Forecast, air-quality and geocoding requests go to Open-Meteo at:
Those requests include coordinates or the search string you typed. Open-Meteo’s own privacy statement and terms describe how they handle API traffic. We recommend you read them on open-meteo.com. Apple processes App Store, iCloud backup (if you back up the device) and operating-system data under Apple’s privacy policy.
We do not intentionally send your city list to any server of ours, because we do not run an application backend for LucidWeather.
Followed cities and settings remain on your device until you remove a city, change a setting, delete the App, or erase the device. Memory caches last only while the App is running or until they are replaced with a fresher forecast.
Open-Meteo may retain API logs according to their own policy. We do not control that retention.
If you use iCloud or computer backups, Apple or your backup destination may store a copy of App data included in those backups.
API calls use HTTPS. Local preferences use the standard iOS / iPadOS storage APIs. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. You can reduce exposure by limiting which places you save and by deleting the App when you no longer want local data on that device.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, contact us via the App Store listing and we will delete device-side data insofar as we can (typically by advising you to delete the App or the relevant saved places).
Depending on where you live (including the UK and EEA), you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Because we do not hold a cloud account for you, the practical way to exercise most of these rights is on the device:
You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or another supervisory authority in your country.
You can request a copy of this policy by visiting this page. We do not charge for that.
Open-Meteo may process API requests on infrastructure outside the UK. Where that happens, their terms and any transfer tools they use apply to that processing. The App itself stores your city list locally on the device you are using.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s data practices change — for example if we add an account system, analytics or live device location. We will revise the effective date on this page. Material changes will be reflected in an App update or on this page before they take effect where the law requires.
For privacy questions, use the About information inside LucidWeather or the support contact on the Apple App Store product page for LucidWeather.
